Initially opened in 1979 as a privately family-run retirement home, Charlton House in Plymouth is set within a beautiful 1880 Victorian mansion that has been extensively renovated in recent years while retaining its charm and elegance.
Owned and run by Mannamead Care for over 30 years, Charlton House Care Home is situated close to Plymouth city centre in a residential area, making it easy for residents to be part of the wider community outside the home. The home is surrounded by attractive gardens and grounds that are regularly maintained and used for events in the warmer months. It is also located in a conservation area near a spacious and well-kept park, perfect for walks in the summer.
Providing a high standard of accommodation and care, Charlton House welcomes people over 65 from all walks of life with many different needs who want the opportunity to share and celebrate the richness and diversity of their experiences.
