Our Building and Facilities

Each floor of The Grange has its own lounge and dining areas. The Audley Suite opens out onto a large terrace where residents will be able to enjoy afternoon tea in the sunshine with their guests and visitors in the summer months. In addition to this, our hospitality team will be on hand to serve hot and cold beverages, delicious cakes, bakes and snacks available around the clock.

The Spitfire Arms is a wonderful destination within our home, our residents and their visitors can pop in at any time for a drink and to watch the football or play a game of darts, just as they've always done at their village local. We often host entertainers, quizzes and games as social occasions too.

For many of our residents, a set and blow dry are part of their weekly calendar! They love a trip to our Elegance Salon to see the hairdresser, finding it a great boost for their overall well-being. For those that like to keep their nails looking smart, our activities team are on hand to offer hand pampering and manicures too.

Our residents love movie night and what better place to watch your favourite film, than in your very own cinema. Complete with comfy seating, pop-corn machine and big screen; our cinema is a great location to enjoy a family favourite, musical or comedy with friends.

For many of our residents, spending time in the garden is their favourite pastime. Whether it's taking afternoon tea outdoors in the summer or getting involved in our annual gardening competition, we all love to spend time outside. Should they wish to, residents can take responsibility for their own planters and vegetable patches, continuing to pass on their horticultural expertise to others.

Description

All 40 bedrooms at The Grange are luxurious and tastefully decorated, making them both comfortable and relaxing places to be. All bedrooms are en-suite, with walk-in wet rooms to aid independent living, however, there are assisted bathrooms on each floor for residents who prefer a bath or require a little more help with their personal care.

Our rooms and communal areas are clean, light, airy and uplifting. Our residents personalise their bedrooms and the personal belongings they bring quite often become talking points amongst the residents, especially those new to us.

Activities Are So Important

Communities themselves, our homes are also very much part of the wider communities they are located in and for our residents who are able, they can come and go as they please. The benefits of intergenerational interaction are wonderful to see at our regular toddler music groups and visits from local school children.

Small things make a big difference; the importance of human touch and social interaction, a phone being available at all times and easy access to laundry facilities. Some of our residents prefer the privacy of their own rooms, yet for all, our mantra is to always share a laugh a day.

Each of our homes has its own Wellbeing & Activity Co-ordinators who get to know each resident and their life story in order to provide a wide range of meaningful person-centred opportunities. We aim to become an integral part of our local communities and encourage a real breadth of visitors and trips out to local places of interest.

We welcome musicians, singers, community groups and professional hairdressers into our homes every week for residents to feel good, learn new skills and discover new passions.
