Bijal Vaidya is Home Manager at Rushey Mead Manor Care and Nursing Home.
Bijal is the Registered Home Manager for Rushey Mead Manor and joined the home in March 2022. She qualified as a nurse and midwife in India in March 2010 and moved to the UK in November 2010.
Bijal has previously held the role of Peripatetic Manager covering a group of homes in Leicestershire. After achieving two successful qualifications and becoming a qualified nurse, Bijal has chosen to remain within the health and social care sector as she is very passionate about it and has learnt how respect, compassion and dignity are essential.
Bijal is proud to be accountable for ensuring that her own practice is person-centred and leads and promotes this principle in the staff team that she manages. Bijal feels a great sense of reward when she sees the positive changes in the residents’ lives and the smiles she witnesses on their loved ones' faces.
Rushey Mead Manor is a three storey, 50 bed care home in Leicester which is purpose built for the needs of residential and specialist care residents. Thehome has an Asian Lifestyle wing alongside a local English wing.
