Anna Harvey is Home Manager at Connell Court.
Anna has been the registered manager at Connell Court for the last 9 years, during this time she has developed the home from a good, into outstanding in responsive. With over 45 years experience in the care sector, I am particularly passionate about care of the elderly.
We provide residential care for our 37 residents in purpose-built, en suite accommodation, in beautiful Birkdale. It’s a wonderfully calm and welcoming space, designed to help us deliver personalised care in a warm, supportive and friendly environment. We also offer short-term respite care.
Connell Court was opened in 1976 and named after the Revd Richard Connell, MHA’s General Secretary from 1955 to 1975. The home is purpose-built and offers 37 residential care places. Situated just north of The Royal Birkdale Golf Club, it is located close to the small village of Birkdale, one mile south of Southport’s centre.

Activities Are So Important |
---|
Our activity Team prepares a weekly schedule promoting physical, mental and social stimulation, offering group activities, as well as 1to1 time. We value the stories and experiences of all residents in our care, getting to know each individual, their achievements and hobbies, and adapt their interests into the activities we provide. In addition to a diverse diary of daily activities that take place in the home, we also focus on themed days, afternoon outings, local entertainment in the home, as well as meaningful moments. Every occasion is celebrated at Connell Court. Whether it’s a cream tea afternoon, a Ukelele lesson, or a talk on Charles Dickens, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Our local library afternoons have been a big hit amongst all, even on a quieter day, a quiz or a game of scrabble or puzzles can be a refreshing change. We pride ourselves integrating the local community into life at Connell Court. |
