Rachel Elton-Jones is Registered Manager and Director at Culwood House.
Rachel Elton-Jones is responsible for the overall management of Culwood House and its employees and has been working at Culwood House since 2008. She is Anita Larkin’s daughter and grew up in Culwood House’s sister care home, White Hill House, from the age of six. Before working at Culwood House she worked for Morgan Stanley in Canary Wharf for 8 years and prior to that she worked for Willis in the City for 4 years. Rachel holds a QCF level 5 diploma in health and social care, an ILM leadership and management award and a BA hons degree in Modern Languages and European studies.
She undertakes training on a regular basis to keep her knowledge and skills up to date. She is a member of the Skills for Care registered managers’ network, the My Home Life initiative and the Bucks registered managers’ network which helps her to keep abreast of changes within the sector.
Culwood House has been a family established and managed care home since 1988. Due to its smaller size it offers a unique, warm and friendly environment in which to live, visit and work.
The home is registered to accommodate 19 residents as the largest rooms can take couples. The majority of the time it supports 17 residents with the ability to offer day care where needed for up to two people at any one time. Culwood House complies with the required standards for residential care and has an overall CQC ‘good’ rating and a 5 star food hygiene rating.

We are currently open to indoor visits in a resident’s bedroom. There is no longer any requirement to LFD test ahead of visiting but you must wear a face mask inside the house (available by the front door when you sign in). We are also open to screened room, Summer House and garden visits. All visits need to be booked in with the management team on 01494 771012. If you would like to stay and have lunch in our Summer House with a resident then please let a member of staff know this when you book in. We are happy to receive phone calls and enquiries on email and can carry out video calls via FaceTime, WhatsApp, Zoom and Skype. |

Residents and their visitors have access to a communal lounge, dining room and conservatory as well as a large garden and two summerhouses. One of our Summerhouses has a kitchenette and bathroom so visitors can stay overnight if required. Specially adapted bathrooms and a nurse call system are located throughout the home. |
