Sophie Evans is Home Manager at Davers Court.
I have over 14 years of experience in the care sector, working my way up from a Care Assistant and I joined Care UK in 2016.
I’m passionate about working with the team to make Davers Court the very best it can be. Residents are happy and well cared for; it’s great when one of them wants to tell me about something they’ve enjoyed doing that day, because if they’re happy, we’re happy.
I love leading the team to provide the best possible care and support colleagues internally to be the best they can be and develop in the same ways I have over the years to reach their career goals.
It takes the right people to make a house a home and the Davers family are a true family home.
Davers Court Care Home in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, is a modern, purpose-built facility that provides residential, dementia and short-term respite care for older people in beautiful surroundings.
The Suffolk home has stunning lounges, a modern café, a cinema room and a hair and beauty salon. As well as en-suite bedrooms, the home has lovely award-winning gardens for residents to enjoy.
Alongside luxury facilities, residents can enjoy a busy and varied activities programme, organised by the home's dedicated lifestyle team.
The team takes the time to get to know each resident and tailor every aspect of their care, from the menu to the activities on offer, to ensure the care provided is unique to their individual needs and preferences.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. Activities Are So Important |
---|
Residents will enjoy our location in Bury St Edmunds. Our lifestyle team often organises outings to Abbey Gardens and trips to Felixstowe. Back at the home there is lots going on, like baking, crafts, exercise classes, and in the warmer months plenty of gardening for those who are green-fingered. We also receive visits from the Great Barton school choir, where residents listen, sing along and smile away, to the talented school children. Our activities programme is always changing for residents to try something new. |
