Meet The Manager

Flavia Hansell is Home Manager at Goodwins Hall Care Home.

Flavia started at our sister home Amberley Hall as part of our housekeeping team, developing to become our Residential Care Manager.

Flavia prides herself on ensuring exceptional, person-centred care within our homes.

Flavia tells us she really enjoys training and mentoring her team and spending time with the residents in the community.

Outside of work, Flavia has 2 sons, a cockapoo called Arlo and her family are film buffs who like superhero, fantasy and action films.

Sunlounge

Just adjacent to our reception is our comfortable Sun lounge. Over looking the Fountain with comfortable seating , the Sunlounge makes a cosy quiet room to enjoy a visit with family or friends, while enjoying a coffee from our bean to cup coffee machine located just across the hall.

The Pod

Our purpose built COVID secure Pod.

For those who are not yet vaccinated or unable to wear PPE. Set within the Library the Pod is accessed via the garden for the visitor. While your loved one remains shielded behind the screen, comfortable and warm all year round.

The Gazebo

Situated in the Garden our Permanent heated Gazebo, offers a great place to take in the fresh air and spend some time with your relatives. Comfortable rattan style seating and weather resistant sides keep you feeling comfortable. The overhead heating lamp provides that bit of warmth on those days when there is a nip in the air. Giving us three seasons of use with this space.

Goodwins Hall prides itself on a daily programme of activities that provide a variety of entertainment for our residents that help aid their mind, body and soul. The residents love to engage and interact with all of our activities, including quizzes, games, pub sessions, arts and crafts, alcohol tasting, cooking, baking and more. One to one activities are on offer too, and we also schedule regular visits, calls or video chats for friends and relatives that are far away.
