Melanie Isherwood is Registered Home Manager at Devonshire House & Lodge Care Home.

Hi, my name is Mel. I am the Registered Home Manager at Devonshire House & Lodge Care Home.

I bring over 30 years of Health and Social Care experience into my role at Devonshire House & Lodge Care Home. This includes running a variety of health and social care care services within charities, private organisations, and local authorities.

Leading Devonshire House and Lodge as the Registered Home Manager is a privilege, working alongside the most caring, compassionate, vibrant team, all of who provide the absolute for the amazing people who reside at the home, a team who share my own passion for the highest quality care.

Outside of my role, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My hobbies include crafting and cooking.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are following the advise of National and Local authorities including Public Health England and our local Infection Control and Prevention team.

Should there be positive cases of COVID in the Home, then visits may be restricted for a period of time until the home is clear of infection. All necessary protective equipment will be supplied and visitors may be asked to complete Lateral Flow tests.

Devonshire House & Lodge Care Home offers the very best of care and environment for residential living. Extra-large, beautifully decorated rooms with en-suite wet rooms ensures the very best of living for those requiring the highest standard of accommodation, a visit to the Lodge is very much recommended as there are only 10 rooms on offer. Devonshire Lodge enjoys a dedicated dining and lounge area and a private garden.

Newly decorated lounges, bedrooms and bathrooms ensure that the standard of accommodation is certainly of a high standard and has brought to the home a whole new look! However, it’s care and support for residents that is at the centre of all considerations in the home. Resident care plans reflect all that an individual would want and need for their care to be delivered in the way they choose, with independence and dignity as prime considerations. All care teams are dedicated to delivering the best of care to all residents and work closely with GP’s and other clinical professionals from the local area to ensure that residents are well cared for. 

Many of our bedrooms overlook our wonderful gardens which are easily accessible for residents with varying mobility.
