John Holland is The Home Manager at Douglas Bank Nursing Home.
John Holland is a Registered Nurse with several years of experience. He started his nursing career as an Assistant at the Royal Liverpool Teaching Hospital. During his training as a nurse, he worked at the Broad Green and Stoddart House in Aintree Hospital. Once he completed his nursing training specialising in mental health, John worked at Ashworth Special Hospital and Altcourse Prison.
Then, John decided to enter the private sector and decided that he wanted to work with the elderly. In the private sector, John worked various roles from charge Nurse to Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neurology and then moved to management.
Since then John has worked as a Deputy Manager for many years before stepping up as Manager.
Douglas Bank Nursing Home is part of the We Care Group that operates other successful Care & Nursing Homes. The Home is registered and inspected by Care Quality Commission to provide Residential and Dementia care for both males and females as follows: Dementia – over 60 years of ages (DE(E)) – 40 places. Diagnostic and screening procedures. Treatment of disease, disorder or injury. The maximum number of Service Users allowed at any one time is 40.

Douglas Bank has been converted from The Dower House and buildings adjoining the original 17th Century listed farmhouse with private gardens to tempt one out at every opportunity. |
