Meet The Manager

Joel Fronda Ignacio is Home Manager at Ayton House.

I believe it’s a privilege to care for older people, and I’m determined to deliver the very best for them as the Home Manager of Ayton House. I have a unique background – as well as being a Registered General Nurse, I also have degrees in Accounting and Finance.

Being a Home Manager draws on all the skills and training I’ve achieved over my career. You need to have an eye for the financial side while also being committed to delivering first-class care. People management skills are also essential, and a level of creativity is needed too. It’s a demanding job, but I relish every day – especially any time I can spend chatting to residents and learning about their lives and experiences.

I worked as the Home Manager of Care UK’s Ancasta Grove, based in Southampton, from 2022, and I’m extremely proud of the work the team does for residents there. I now look forward to the opportunity to continue this great work at Ayton House in the months and years ahead.
