Pauline McCrae is Manager at Birdston.

Pauline brings a wealth of experience to her role as Home Manager at Birdston Care Home. With a background as Deputy Manager at our sister home, Lillyburn Care Home, Pauline has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication. Her transition to the Manager post at Birdston reflects her commitment to providing high-quality care and fostering a supportive environment for residents and staff alike. Pauline's extensive experience and compassionate approach make her a valued leader in our community.

Birdston Care Home is located in Kirkintilloch, only a 15-minute journey from Glasgow City Centre in East Dunbartonshire.

The 60-bed residential and nursing home, established for more than 20 years, provides the highest standard of 24-hour person-centred care for frail, elderly people, respecting individual choices, privacy, and dignity. We also offer residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care. Our staff have a positive, forward-thinking work ethic that cascades throughout all departments, resulting in the delivery of skilled, relevant care. This ethos enables our residents to lead a happy, fulfilled, and diverse life.

As a purpose-built care home built on one level, there are many personal and communal spaces available, in addition to a variety of safe and secure landscaped gardens affording beautiful views of the Campsie Fells.

Birdston is a bespoke nursing home which caters for and takes into account the specialist needs of our residents. The nursing home is well maintained with personalised bedrooms to create a sense of belonging and familiarity.

Our dedicated communal areas include large and small lounges, dining areas, reminiscence rooms, quiet lounges which can be used for activities and visitors in addition to enclosed gardens and courtyard areas.

Description

Residents rooms are personalised to create a sense of belonging and to assist with familiarity for those with dementia. All bedrooms are en-suite with a choice of bath or shower. Some bedrooms have patio doors to the internal garden areas.
