Helen Hartley is Home Manager at Cheadle Manor Care Centre.
I am very proud to have worked in a community care setting for over 13 years. I started my career as a Care Support Worker which gave me the experience and confidence I needed to fulfil my life's ambition to train as a registered nurse. For many years I enjoyed working as a nurse in the community building relationships with patients and their families. I always strived to provide high quality and personalised care to encourage independence for all patients. I started my journey at Bramhall Manor as Deputy Manager and have progressed to Home Manager and have recently moved to Cheadle Manor and I feel privileged to be part of such a hardworking team that provide very high standards of care whist maintaining residents' dignity and independence. In my own time I am a busy mum of 3 enjoying quality family time and also enjoy socialising with friends.
Our lovely Cheadle Manor care home in Greater Manchester is a stylish and modern care facility located near the beautiful Abney Hall Park. The Cheadle Manor care centre has 68 modern bedrooms fitted with en suite wet rooms and has been designed to follow all current CQC requirements. We are proud to provide the highest level of safety, care, and comfort for all of our residents, whether they are in residential, nursing, or dementia care.
Each Cheadle Manor care home resident is at the heart of what we do and are happy to provide them with their very own hairdresser and nail bar, as well as comfortable, practical, yet luxurious communal lounge spaces and restaurants to enjoy on all three floors of Cheadle Manor. Using modern, soothing design and colour patterns, unique signage, and careful planning we have created a space that allows all our residents, whether in dementia care or residential care, to comfortably move around their new home.

Activities Are So Important |
---|
At New Care Homes we have dedicated activity staff who devise and deliver our activities and well-being programme. We work with our whole staff team so that everyone can participate in supporting our residents to have fun and enjoy life. We offer a range of activities that are based on our resident’s feedback. We have a calendar of events planned throughout the whole year. We have established some groups in all of our homes, which link to residents, own hobbies and interests. This currently includes a range of subjects from gardening clubs to bridge clubs. We are always keen to start up new groups, to make sure we are supporting all of our residents to have a full and enjoyable life. This can either be re-engaging with a previous hobby or interest, or even learning something quite new. The groups provide opportunities for residents, relatives and other to get together to enjoy a shared passion and have a good time together. We have a Wellbeing team who offer a wellbeing programme 7 days a week. We also are partnered with OOMPH who support our wider team. Sample programme to follow. |
