Dean Wood Manor offers specialist nursing care for people living with dementia and other mental health conditions. We have a growing reputation for excellent care, being voted in the top 5 care homes in Wigan 2023, and being shortlisted for the Palliative and End of Life Care Awards 2023.

Dean Wood Manor offers care to 50 adults, and the home has moved forward in leaps and bounds, since the committee of Wigan and Leigh Hospice gave Dean Wood Manor their 'Most Improved Care Home' award in 2019.

Our Building and Facilities

Dean Wood Manor is a grade 2 listed building, set in the most beautiful of woodland grounds. Able to care for 50 residents, the home is staffed by an experienced team of nurses and carers who have a big heart for nursing people living with dementia and other mental health conditions.

Our home has large and open corridors, giving residents room to walk and stretch their legs, as well as comfortable lounges with a variety of seating, activity spaces and dining rooms.

Our courtyard garden was designed with our residents in mind. Safe and secure, it offers a very pleasant place to sit and socialise. Residents can enjoy time in the gardens, and you will often find us planting flowers, herbs and vegetables in our raised beds.
