The Registered Manager of Duffryn Ffrwd Nursing and Residential Home is Mrs Gemma Wilson RGN, who has been managing the Home since 2015.
Duffryn Ffrwd Manor comprises two Homes. A Nursing Home which was opened in 1996 and a purpose built Residential Care Home opened in 2000. The Manor is a grade 2 listed building, located on the border of Cardiff, Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taf. We are five minutes from junction 32 of the M4, with easy access to the A470. The Home is set in three acres of woodland. There are wheelchair friendly walkways leading to two pond areas and seating areas for picnic.
The grounds comprise 3 acres of beautiful woodland alive with the colour of ancient Oaks, giant Poplars and a Weeping Willow. There are walkways through the grounds and a relaxing pond area.
On your strolls you may come across our new addition, to the Nursing Home, Harvey the rabbit or when over in the Residential Home, you may find Kitty the cat curled up amongst the books or showing our residents how much she likes to see them.

On site there are two lounges and dining rooms and an activity room all with pleasing outlooks over the gardens. There is plenty of outdoor space with a patio seating area. The kitchen staff consult with the residents as to their food preferences and produce varied, tasty, nutritional meals including the 'Around the World ' themed menus. The residents take part, if they want to, in daily activities morning and afternoon. We hold Summer and Christmas fetes at Duffryn Ffrwd Manor Ltd where we open the doors to the local community, friends and family. We regularly have entertainers come to the home and local choirs etc. |

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets to live with you at the home. We do have our own pets, Harvey the rabbit in the Nursing Home and Kitty the Cat and fish tank in the Residential Home also we have fish in our external ponds. If you speak to the manager of the Home your loved one is in they discuss with you the ability for your beloved pet to visit. |
