Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

Despite being vaccinated, we continue to take extra precautions to keep our residents and staff safe and of course we continue to follow all UK Government and Public Health England guidance.

  • Frequent testing of both our residents and team members (any residents moving into our home are tested and isolated)
  • All visits are by appointment only.
  • Appropriate PPE is worn by all staff members in the building
  • Our staff only work in our care home, and on carefully planned rota’s, reducing the risk of any cross-contamination
  • COVID-19 training is completed by all team members and updated on a regular basis
  • Stringent cleaning schedules in place with extra cleaning procedures and specially designed equipment due to the pandemic
Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Air Filtration & Purification We are using air filtration and/or air purification devices within our care setting.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Infection Screening We are using technology to screen for infections & monitor symptoms.
safe-tick Sterilisation & Disinfection Devices We are using sterilisation and/or disinfection devices within our care setting.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Safe Visiting Space
safe-tick We have a safe visiting space

Our residents and staff are vaccinated and we continue to take a whole host of safety measures such as regular deep cleaning, whole home testing, safe visiting and wearing PPE.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
