Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are confident that our care homes are now some of the very safest places to live and work.

All of our staff have been trained in additional and heightened cleansing protocols and hygiene regimes, and these are being supported by a leading sanitisation system as part of our comprehensive infection controls. Testing regimes will continue for staff, residents and visitors.

We have re-aligned the resident in-house services to meet social distance guidance from the Government, for areas such as lounges and dining rooms, and for visiting entertainers and hair dressers; we are working hard to restore these services within the ‘new normal’ circumstances as soon as we can, when lockdown rules allow.

Infection Control Initiatives in place

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Mobile Phone Network Coverage (mobile “signal”)

Our Building and Facilities

Sandwiched conveniently between busy London and the South Coast, Greensand House is in a fantastic location for our residents to explore the endless opportunities on a selection of trips to the surrounding areas on the privately owned minibus. The National Trust – Harewoods, a Victorian country estate is just a ten-minute drive from Greensand House, offering a wealth of country walks, bridleways, ponds, and plenty of opportunity for nature spotting.

We encourage our residents to spend time outside of the home, taking in the fresh air and beautiful natural surroundings. Some residents may find it hard to tear themselves away from the great facilities on offer at our Redhill care home, if this is the case, we also have a beautifully landscaped garden for all to enjoy.

Why not invite your friends or relatives to come for a cup of tea or coffee while basking in the sunshine within the luscious gardens in the summer months? We encourage our residents to invite friends and relatives to visit as often as possible, ensuring they stay in touch with the community surrounding us.

Activities Are So Important

At Greensand House, our holistic programmes are based on our values of supportive, proud and care and support a sense of well-being for all. The activities we plan are designed with therapeutic outcomes in mind and utilise memory, physical and sensory-based activities. Our expertly trained activity coordinators are happy to receive any insights and recommendations on things which may be of interest to the residents. Whether our residents want to take part in dancing, gentle sports, or day trips out to the local shops or to a lovely pub for lunch, all requests will be considered.

Technology is another element which we include within our community, in order to keep in touch with friends and relatives who may live too far to travel to visit.
