The Village’s own Well-being Centre is run by a qualified Well-being Advisor and is available to all residents, offering health screening, information and advice on managing a healthy lifestyle.

Recent research with Aston University found that ExtraCare's Well-being Service is making a real difference to older people's lives:

ExtraCare residents experienced a 46 per cent reduction in GP visits over one year, compared to people living in their own homes in the local community.

Unplanned hospital stays for ExtraCare residents were reduced from 8-14 days down to 1-2 days.

Over 18 months, there was a 64.3 per cent

Each home has its own front door opening onto a wide, bright corridor.

The apartments themselves have good sized rooms, and are built and equipped to the highest specifications, with central heating and double glazing.

All have wheelchair access.

Designed for convenience and comfort, living rooms have connection points for both satellite and terrestrial TV, radio, phone, broadband and a link to the Village’s closed circuit TV.

The spacious master bedrooms also have phone and TV points. 

Kitchens have high quality units, a fitted electric oven and hob. Most have a built-in washer-drier, fridge/freezer and plumbing for a dishwasher.
