Set beside the beautiful Hughenden Valley, the Village can provide you with a fulfilling lifestyle as an active and valued member of a vibrant local community, where you can pick up old hobbies and discover new ones, meet fresh challenges and relish new achievements.
At ExtraCare, our philosophy is that later life is a time for doing more rather than less. A time for staying independent, doing some of the things that you’ve always wanted to do but never got around to or found time for.
At Hughenden Gardens, properties are available for sale, shared ownership or rent, and are thoughtfully designed to make life as comfortable and safe as possible, even if you have limited mobility.
ExtraCare aims to ensure that the Village is affordable for every applicant whatever their financial circumstances.
At ExtraCare we have unequalled experience in encouraging and supporting residents to keep their independence and get the most out of life.
Should you need care and support, our QCF (NVQ) qualified staff will assess your needs with you to ensure that your care is tailored to your requirements, and delivered within the comfort and privacy of your own home. This can range from a simple daily pop-in visit to regular help of a more personal nature now, or in the future.
Our Village staff team will of course respond in a serious emergency.
This holistic approach is part of the way of life at Hughenden Gardens Village, and covers everything from keeping a healthy heart, managing diabetes and asthma, to weight reduction, diet, sleep and exercise, as well as safety in your own home.

All this, together with the reassurance of knowing that should you need care, either now or at any time in the future, it can be tailored to meet your assessed needs, and delivered in the comfort of your own Village home by a committed and highly professional team.

ExtraCare residents experienced a 46 per cent reduction in GP visits over one year, compared to people living in their own homes in the local community.
Unplanned hospital stays for ExtraCare residents were reduced from 8-14 days down to 1-2 days.
Over 18 months, there was a 64.3 per cent
