What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

Safety Measures
Hand hygiene is crucial in stopping the spread of the virus, and each of our homes has had a hand washing station installed at the entrance, for everyone to use as they arrive at the home.

In addition to our normal cleaning regimes, we have introduced extra cleaning schedules for our housekeeping teams, using products that are effective against coronavirus.

Visiting Opportunities

To keep residents, staff and visitors safe, we encourage all visitors to take a lateral flow test before each visit, and to strictly follow the guidance on hand washing and wearing a mask whilst in the home. Whilst mask wearing is no longer necessary when visiting the resident in their room you should continue to wear a face covering when walking through the home or visiting in communal areas.

Activities Are So Important

Events and activities are hugely enjoyed across the Randolph Hill Group and our dedicated team, full calendar and the availability of our own minibus ensures that the level of participation is high. We offer person-centred care here at Kirk Lane, so it’s all about tailoring our activity calendar to the needs and wants of our residents, whether that’s day trips in the local area, events in the home, or group hobbies and activities. We have something for everyone, whether they want to indulge in a life-long hobby with new friends or learn a completely new skill – it’s never too late to embrace something! We believe in focusing on what our residents can do, rather than what they can do, so our activities are not obligatory, but we do encourage all of our residents to take part for their mental and physical health and wellbeing.
