Meet The Manager

Anees Riaz is Home Manager at Lauder Lodge.

I’m a qualified nurse and have worked in a children’s clinic as well as in older people’s care. Joining Lauder Lodge has been very exciting for me: commissioning a new home is a challenge, and the whole team has worked closely together to create a wonderful home from home. I’ve enjoyed getting to know the team in the process, identifying their strengths and using them to everyone’s advantage. I’m enjoying watching the team grow while providing exceptional service and tailored care for every resident. I’m infamous for my sweet tooth, so I particularly enjoy afternoon tea time, when I can spend time with the residents, sharing stories and memories over a cup of tea and, of course, freshly baked goodies! Outside of work, shopping is a guilty pleasure of mine, followed by coffee dates with friends – usually just an excuse to get the biggest cake on display!

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are working within the government guidelines to help protect our staff and clients.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
