Mearns House Care Home - Care Home
Meet The Manager

Kirsty Craig is Manager at Mearns House Care Home.

I have worked in the care industry since 2004 and have a genuine passion for caring and supporting older people.  I am dedicated to developing my knowledge of the sector further in order to continue making a difference to the lives of those I care for and I completed my BSc in Adult Nursing at the University of the West of Scotland in 2010 with this goal in mind.

At Mearns House, we offer a team of dedicated and highly trained staff, who go the extra mile to make our residents feel like they are living in their own home. Our approach is friendly and welcoming, and we endeavour to ensure that every decision made about a resident’s care has their voice behind it.

It is hugely important that we strive to ensure the care and support needs of not only our residents, but also our relatives and staff are met and I am committed to making Mearns House a truly great place to both live and work.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
