Meet The Manager

Rali Ivanova is Care Home Manager at Middlefields House.

Rali was born in a small town in Bulgaria near the Black Sea. After school, she qualified as a dental technician and then undertook further study to become a nurse.

Rali came to the UK in 2002 and took on the position of a care assistant in Devizes. In 2009 she joined the Pilgrims’ Friend Society at Leonora Home (now closed) as a care team leader. In 2019 she completed a diploma in Health & Social Care. When Middlefields House opened in August 2021 she was promoted to Deputy Manager and then to Registered Care Manager.

Rali has two children, a daughter and a son. She became a Christian as a teenager in Bulgaria and helped with Sunday School with her husband (at that time only a friend), organising activities and teaching the Bible to children who were living in poorer communities.

Activities Are So Important

At the heart of The Way We Care is our commitment to making sure we know each person really well so we can care for them in the way that’s best for them. When someone comes to live at Middlefields House, a senior member of the care team will discuss their needs with them and create an individual Care Plan which covers everything from their history to their social interests, personal relationships, hobbies, and emotional, spiritual and cultural needs. We call those who live with us ‘family members’ reflecting our commitment to creating places where those who choose to live with us feel truly at home.

We support those who live with us to remain as independent as possible but our care team provide support with activities such as bathing, dressing and mealtimes for those who need it. We focus on seeing the individual person first before seeing any form of illness or disability. This is especially relevant when caring for those living with a form of dementia.
