Joanne Graves is Home Manager at Middleton Lodge Care Home.

Home Manager Jo Graves is a registered nurse with 30 years experience in healthcare. In her early career, she specialised in cancer care. Following this Jo undertook several roles within the acute care setting and worked as lead nurse for two private hospitals as well as working nationally in a variety of roles. She has over 5 years of experience as a Care Home CQC Registered Manager, specifically caring for residents with complex needs and those living with dementia.  

Jo says: ‘It is a pleasure and a privilege to lead the team at Middleton Lodge to provide the highest quality care for those that we are privileged to care for. We have a beautiful, state-of-the-art care home in the heart of a wonderful community in Littleover and it is my passion to create a home that becomes a valued part of that.’

Featuring 63, light, spacious bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, residents will experience peak levels of peace and comfort. As well as being stunningly decorated, each room also features reassuring interaction nurse call buttons and information systems, should they need any assistance or support. Experience the convenience of our companion suites, tailor-made for couples, siblings, or close friends in search of a joint care experience.

Although our bedrooms are beautifully furnished as standard, we actively encourage all residents to make their private space their own, with personal keepsakes, trinkets, and photographs, ensuring they feel the move into residential care is a home-from-home.

Residents are welcomed and encouraged to join in with the activities going on within the home, each of which are meticulously planned by our dedicated Activity Co-ordinators including the Middleton Avenue Bee Project. With access to our own private minibus, excursions are often planned, visiting local beauty spots such as Kedleston Hall, or nearby villages and towns.

Alternatively, residents are free to come and go from the home as they please. Our philosophy of care to give each resident a home and lifestyle that supports their need for care and safety, along with their goals and aspirations.
