Norden House is a unique care home specifically designed to support those with dementia. We are located just outside of the village of Climping, not far from Climping beach and a short drive from Littlehampton and the historic town of Arundel.
Norden House is set out as four separate care hubs over two storeys, which are arranged into individual household for eight people. Each has their own kitchen, open plan lounge dining room day lounge spaces and generously sized ensuite bedrooms many of which have their own patio garden and others affording beautiful expansive views over the gardens and country side.
Residents live in small communities with others at a similar stage of dementia or who have similar care needs; important for reducing stress and helping with socialisation.
Our philosophy of care is extended to the family and friends of residents who are pivotal in helping us to get to know the needs of our residents, especially those with dementia.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
---|---|---|
Norden House was built using state-of-the-art facilities. It has been thoughtfully designed to incorporate the living environment and specialised training of staff. |
Infection Control Initiatives in place | ||
---|---|---|
Air Filtration & Purification | We are using air filtration and/or air purification devices within our care setting. | |
Independent Assessments | We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control. | |
Infection Control Training | Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections. |
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |
---|
Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. At the heart of Norden House, we’ve introduced a vibrant and welcoming central community hub that mimics a charming street setting. This thoughtfully crafted space evokes a sense of nostalgia and familiarity, featuring a cosy tea shop, a quaint hair salon, and other inviting amenities. Residents can stroll down this ‘street’, engaging in activities that feel just like a part of everyday life.
