I have over twenty years of experience in nursing and healthcare. I aim to make a positive impact every single day by ensuring that the residents experience the highest quality of life and the very best standards of support and care.

In my spare time, I’m passionate about volunteering in my community and enjoy spending time with friends. I believe that a smile and a light-hearted approach go a long way to creating a loving ‘home from home’ environment."

Welcome to Oxford Manor Care Home in Harwell,  Oxfordshire, a luxury haven located just two miles from the railway town of Didcot and gateway to the Science Vale.

Our newly built, state-of-the-art residence is situated on the edge of this picturesque village, with glorious views of the surrounding countryside. Visitors can easily reach us from the A34, and there is a local bus stop just a few minutes walk away. Oxford Manor also benefits from being near the Great Western Park Development area.

We support residents who need different care levels, including those with dementia. By creating an active, vibrant environment within the home, we can help residents enjoy meaningful, positive experiences every day. We also foster close connections with the friendly Harwell village community, providing spaces for local groups to meet, hosting public events and operating a community coffee shop.

Alma Barn has the luxury of several internal safe visiting spaces where families can meet. Each space is thoroughly cleaned immediately after use by our experienced and highly trained Housekeeping team. 

We also have several external quiet spaces where families can sit safely whilst enjoying the stunning views across the countryside. Again, each table and chair are thoroughly cleaned after every use.

Oxford Manor Care Home has an exceptional standard of décor throughout. The communal areas are spacious and luxurious, with a dedicated room for activities and a cinema suite.


We have sensory areas and a quiet space for relaxation and family visits. The outdoor space is stunning, with our balconies and patio areas leading to beautiful, landscaped gardens. Residents can enjoy watching nature and taking in the sensory stimulation outdoors, where plenty of seating is available. It’s also the perfect place for a stroll, and green-fingered residents are welcome to help out with light gardening duties.

Activities Are So Important

Oxford Manor Care Home near Didcot has a busy activity timetable built around the critical goals of mental stimulation, increased mobility, and social engagement.

Our Pets

We regularly have little visitors. We welcome pets into our Home as it's great stimulation for everyone.

Our most frequent visitor is Obi (yes the owner is a Star Wars Fan) and he is loved and petted by us all.

Most recently we were lucky enough to be visited by the local farmer who brought some Baby Lambs in for petting.
