Gillian Louggar is Registered Manager at Promedica24 Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole.
I started working in care over 15 years ago. My son was two and a half at the time and I needed a job that would fit around being his mum. I started as a Care Support Worker and quickly found that I really enjoyed being part of a care team.
Hearing people’s stories, and being able to be a small part in ensuring they still knew they were valued and that they still had a lot to offer this world gave me a sense of knowing that this was the career path for me. I believe starting as a Carer and then working my way up has allowed me to see the different processes and give me a better overall understanding.
Since 2013, Promedica24 has provided compassionate home care and companionship services across Dorset and surrounding areas. We proudly serve our community, particularly in rural areas where care options are often limited.
At Promedica24, we understand the importance of providing person-centred care tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Our services include visiting care, live-in care and companionship, ensuring that our clients receive dedicated support in the comfort of their own homes.
With years of experience in caring for individuals with various conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s, cancer, and end-of-life care, and assisting those transitioning home from hospital stays, we are equipped to meet diverse care needs. We understand the challenges individuals and their families face, and we are committed to providing comprehensive support every step of the way. Focusing on the best outcomes for each person individually.
Our dedicated carers undertake ongoing development, ensuring that every person under our care receives person-centred support marked by respect, empathy, and companionship. Our goal is to match clients with carers who can enhance their quality of life at home, fostering an environment where they can thrive and maintain their independence.
