Meet The Manager

Amanda Jelbert is Care Home Manager at Heatherton House.

Amanda has always had a passion for care, having grown up with both her mum and nan working in the care industry. At 18 she began working for Birmingham city council and the local authority-run homes.

She quickly progressed, completing her NVQ levels 2 and 3 (QCF) and then later training as an assessor (D32,33). She then moved to a training company, training and sharing her knowledge with new candidates.

Amanda then moved into a Registered Managers position for a 50 bedded residential home in Solihull that required improvements, and then later moved to a 45 bedded new service in Burton as part of a Dementia centre of excellence.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys the outdoors and designing her garden. She also loves to entertain family and friends in the summer months and is renowned for her BBQs. Passion and care are at the heart of everything Amanda does.
