What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are working within the government guidelines to help protect our staff and clients.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

Sandmere Care Home is built on the philosophy that each individual should live an enjoyable and fulfilling life. Our varied activities programme plays a big part in that, and our Activities Team often plan an array of different social activities, whether it’s touring our local community of Margate or visiting the markets for a spot of shopping. We also benefit from excellent connections with the community, and our residents are frequently invited to participate in afternoon teas and seasonal events.

Our arts and crafts programme is open to all residents, regardless of their ability with a pen or paintbrush. We actively encourage all of our residents to take part in our creative activities, and we provide a variety of materials to assist them in creating works of art and mementoes that they can either keep and cherish, or give to their loved ones.
