We have an on-site Care Team who can help you live independently, if you need a little extra support now or in the future. This may range from a simple drop-in visit to assist with meal preparation or housework up to help with more significant care needs, including dementia. Currently, up to 20 per cent of residents at Shenley Wood Village receive support from our Care Team.

ExtraCare’s Wellbeing Service supports all residents to be proactive in managing their own health. Our Wellbeing Advisors empower residents to make informed decisions about their lifestyle and health via well-being assessments.
Each assessment typically covers a range of tests and common conditions, including blood pressure, cholesterol level, urine, diet, fitness, sleep, diabetes and osteoporosis.
As required, residents can be referred to their doctor for treatment or offered further advice by their Wellbeing Advisor. Progress is supported through follow-up assessments, well-being talks or even gym sessions, as appropriate to each resident's needs.
