Meet The Manager

Laura Barnsley is The Home Manager at St Mary's Riverside Care Home.

Laura has spent over 30 yrs working in social care. She has been managing care homes for the elderly for over 20 years and loves her job. Laura and her established management team have worked together for over 15 years and are passionate about creating real quality of life for the residents in their care. Laura believes that a happy team creates the right atmosphere and environment for the residents. CQC rate all care homes in the country with only 3.5% of care homes being rated as outstanding. Laura and her dedicated team care and approach to the residents have previously gained them outstanding in all 5 CQC domains. One of only 8 homes in the country to do this. Laura brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion to make St Mary's Riverside the best home possible for the residents who live there.

We believe your life at St Mary’s Riverside should include the best care, the best of life and the best environment.

All our residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. Our person-centred care enables residents to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved – and often the things they perhaps thought they could no longer enjoy.

As part of our Hessle-based community, our residents can help themselves to drinks and snacks, help out in the garden and other hobbies and exercise their usual routines which enable residents to make their lives theirs.

The facilities at St Mary’s Riverside allow residents to enjoy other everyday routines that keep them independent, including having their weekly hair and nail appointment at the luxurious salon or catching up with friends in the St Mary’s Riverside cafe.
