Templeton House - Care Home
Meet The Manager

Donna Walker is Home Manager at Templeton House.

Donna has worked in the private healthcare sector for over 15 years and started her journey as a care assistant. She quickly realised her passion for caring for the elderly and went on to achieve a BSC in adult nursing, graduating from University of West of Scotland in 2010. Donna has always worked in care homes since qualifying and has been in home management for over 4 years now. It is her belief that behind every good manager is a good team, and if the team are happy it will transpire throughout the home creating both a positive working environment for the team but also an environment where residents choose to live, and relatives are comfortable leaving their loved ones.  Donna and her team at Templeton House strive to ensure that our residents receive outcome focussed care in a warm and friendly environment allowing them to embrace real quality of life.

Templeton House Care Home is located on the attractive southwest coast of Ayr, Scotland. Our home has been created with residents in mind, providing both accessible facilities and comfortable accomodation for up to 69 residents. Templeton House Care Home provides residents with a high-quality home enabling them to enjoy a rich and fulfilling life, with facilities such as a cinema room, hair salon, and excellent outside spaces to name a few.

Our entire ethos revolves around the word ‘home.’ It’s essential that our care home feels like home and provides everything residents could ever need to feel at ease and content in calling Templeton House Care Home their home. The small things in life are just as important as the bigger ones, such as family meals in a private dining room or reading a book in a comfortable armchair, that’s why these attributes can make all the difference.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

In line with recent Scottish Government guidance effective from September 2022, care homes in Scotland no longer require face masks to be worn during visits due to high vaccination rates and other mitigations against COVID-19 in the social care sector and LFD testing is no longer necessary. Face masks will continue to be provided at the home should it be your preference to continue to wear one and staff will support the preferences of our residents who wish for our staff to wear face masks whilst providing them with care.
