The Argyle Care Home - Care Home
Meet The Manager

Janice McCormick is General Manager at The Argyle Care Home.

Janice McCormick has worked in social care for 40 years, working her way up from a care home assistant role and now has 21 years experience as a Registered Nurse Manager.

The Argyle is a purpose-built care home located in Helensburgh and supports residents to continue doing what they love.

Our team is proud to offer a wide range of activities for every individual to enjoy alongside like-minded individuals, whether it is reminiscing at the old-fashioned sweet shop, getting pampered in our hair salon, enjoying the fresh air in our secure gardens or using any of our other choice of facilities.

We know that all residents are unique and have their own set of hobbies and interests, so we want to enable them to continue to enjoy these. Whether they are more artistic and want to make crafts, challenge their friends or team members to a game of cards, or sit back and watch entertainers that visit us, everybody can enjoy a rich and meaningful life at The Argyle Care Home.

Our secure gardens offer a safe space for residents to enjoy a bit of fresh air and are furnished for al fresco dining during the summer months.

Our green-fingered residents are welcome to engage in gardening, whether they choose to care for our flower beds, and vegetable patches or ensure the bird tables are well-maintained throughout the year, everybody can make great use of our gardens.

Our wonderful hair salon offers everything residents need to feel pampered, whether that be a wash and cut, or a head massage. These appointments are the perfect opportunity for residents to kick back and relax and leave the salon with a confidence boost.

Our standard hair services are included in the overall costs, so residents can reap the benefits of some me time. Residents can schedule appointments with our hairdresser on a regular basis or book in for a special treat prior to an event.

In-house activities include board games, light exercise sessions, and pet therapy as well as social outings to local cafés or the community hall.
