Residents and their guests can be found in our coffee lounge, where you can sit and chat over a morning brew, a library for quiet times with the daily paper or a good book, a cinema room for movie screenings and a hair and beauty salon for that bit of extra pampering.

Friends and family are always welcome to join us for meals as well as recreational activities as they are part and parcel of the atmosphere of our retirement community. If your apartment is not big enough to put up guests, you can arrange for them to stay in our guest room and, if you would like to have a special celebration with your loved ones, a private dining room is at your disposal.

Day to day, there are activities such as indoor bowls, croquet on the lawn, chess, snooker and plenty keep-fit and crafting sessions. Our minibus can take you to the shops or out on trips, as there is so much lovely countryside waiting to be explored. Whether it is the estuaries and creeks of the Essex coast or slightly further afield to the Constable territory of Dedham Vale, you’re guaranteed to find something that takes your fancy. Many residents volunteer locally and enjoy raising money for charity. We are certainly a community that is active with, and well connected to, the local Braintree area.

At our retirement village in Essex, we offer a choice of studio, one or two-bedroom luxury apartments. Some apartments have balconies and patios, but all are modern, light, airy and decorated to a high standard. Each has a kitchenette and shower room and comes fully fitted with carpets and curtains, although you may bring your own if you prefer. The apartments are for you to furnish in your own way.
