Ann Lyell is Home Manager at Trinity House Care Home.
My name is Ann Lyell and I have worked in the care sector for over 26 years. My introduction to care came after qualifying as a nurse in 1996.
I have always worked in the private sector and particularly in elderly care within a care home environment.
Throughout my career I have met with great colleagues and having good mentors has enabled me to expand my knowledge and skills providing me with valuable experiences to be able to progress into care home management, which I have been doing for over 6 years now.
I have a great passion for dementia care and strive to deliver the highest quality of care to all residents and promotion of inclusion for all within a care home environment.
Situated in the pleasant residential area of North Edinburgh, Trinity House Care Home has been designed with residents in mind, offering both ease of access and comfortable accommodation for up to 55 residents. From the luxurious décor to the finite attention to detail of the dining experience, Trinity House Care Homes offers the ultimate in luxury living.
Our whole ethos focuses on the word ‘home.’ It’s important that our home feels like home and offers all of the home comforts that leaves residents feeling calm, safe and confident to call Trinity House Care Home their home. Experience has taught us that the sense of home is all about the little things, such as a family meal in the private dining area with loved ones, or getting stuck into a book in your own little world in the peaceful library. We have everything residents need to live life to the fullest.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
---|---|---|
In line with recent Scottish Government guidance effective from September 2022, care homes in Scotland no longer require face masks to be worn during visits due to high vaccination rates and other mitigations against COVID-19 in the social care sector and LFD testing is no longer necessary. Face masks will continue to be provided at the home should it be your preference to continue to wear one and staff will support the preferences of our residents who wish for our staff to wear face masks whilst providing them with care. |
