Kya Safari is Managing Director at Visiting Angels East Nottinghamshire.
I was drawn to this work three years ago while serving as the primary caregiver for a sibling diagnosed with rectal cancer. During this time, I learnt the importance of compassionate care and companionship while giving care. Through this experience, I became deeply motivated to be involved in care provision, offering person-centred care that makes clients feel valued, respected, and cared for, something we felt was greatly lacking when we sought care for my loved one.
As a mother of two, I am very patient and dedicated. Coming from a large family, I have values deeply rooted in community and service. I have a wealth of experience working as an Employment Engagement and Recruitment Officer and I have also managed a successful family business for five years.
I am looking forward to making a difference in my community in the way quality and bespoke care is delivered and at the same time motivate, celebrate, and empower our caregivers.
Visiting Angels Nottingham East prides itself on our holistic approach to person-centred adult and elderly domiciliary care. We understand looking for care is rarely a joyous occasion but our unique approach of listening, understanding, and responding to our client’s needs and preferences will help relieve pressure and provide support which is centred around individual lifestyles. As one of the leading Nottingham-based homecare agencies, we believe quality care is deliberate and cannot be rushed.
