Situated less than half a mile from the varied shops, cafes and amenities of Hawkhurst High Street, this proposed Retirement Living development is ideal for those looking to settle down and make the most of their free time. The development will be in a prominent position along Highgate Hill and will boast a generous sized, south facing, communal garden and plenty of space for landscaping - perfect for those who want to downsize without compromising on a garden.

Each apartment will be designed to make your life easier, with clever design features that will help eliminate difficult-to-reach places and awkward tasks. Tasteful decor and luxury furnishings ensure that your home will look as good as it feels, whilst a guest suite makes hosting for family and friends a breeze. Most of our apartments include a well-sized balcony, with gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside and nearby area.

A cosy yet stylish communal lounge will provide you with the chance to catch up with your fellow homeowners and enjoy a change in scenery, no matter the weather outside. This proposed development also has plenty of green space and a beautiful south-facing garden, so when the weather's fine, you can enjoy a refreshing stroll or a spot of gardening. Cleverly designed outdoor areas include established greenery to provide screening and added privacy. To ensure that you have the most comfortable stay, this property has an on-site House Manager who will be able to help you with all your needs. Camera entry provides you with optimum security, whilst a 24/7 emergency call system assures your safety.

Generous on-site parking makes travel easier while a scooter room and cycle store offer alternative travel options.

McCarthy & Stone Management Services (MSMS) are responsible for looking after our Lifestyle Living and Retirement Living developments, the grounds and services that together make up your new home.

MSMS provide and maintain the emergency-call system, intruder alarm and door camera entry. They also take care of gardening and general upkeep of the outside of the development and all shared areas.

In our Retirement Living schemes, these services include a friendly House Manager, on hand during office hours in the week (which may vary), to take care of the day-to-day running of the development. They can also arrange social events, and our residents choose whether or not to get involved with these.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We’ve redesigned our processes from viewings to moving in going beyond the basic guidelines to ensure our potential new residents, existing homeowners, and staff stay as safe as possible. We do this by:

1. Providing virtual informationWe’re offering ‘virtual tours’ to reduce unnecessary visits.

2. Managing viewings safely. Viewings are carefully managed to be a safe experience by our Sales teams or House / Estate Managers for private sales.

3. Checking the health of visitors. Customers are required to complete a questionnaire to check that they don’t have any Covid-19 symptoms. In addition, they may have their temperature taken on arrival – if anyone has a high temperature, they will be asked to return home and re-book once their temperature has returned to normal.

4. Hygiene. Like all visitors, everyone attending a viewing will be asked to wash their hands upon arrival or use hand sanitiser. We will also be encouraging them to wear a face covering, though this is not mandatory.

Social media provides an up to date window on the activities within a provider's setting.

With the restrictions on visiting during the pandemic, social media platforms such as these offer real insight when you are choosing a provider.
