Meet The Manager

Helen Mullins is Manager at Whitstable House.

Helen is an experienced peripatetic manager who has worked with us for the last 6 years. Helen has been involved in both the commissioning of new Homes and the day-to-day operational management of our homes and enjoys caring for those who are living with dementia or have nursing needs.

Whitstable House is a brand new, purpose-built care home, offering residential, nursing care to people with care needs, particularly those with physical frailty or dementia-type illnesses.

Residents at Whitstable House reflect the demographic of the surrounding area. We facilitate families to benefit from Local Authority or NHS funding, where private funding may not be an option, making our services accessible to the whole community.

Whitstable House is a ‘home for life’ for those who require long term care, whilst also offering short term care for others who require assessment, rehabilitation, or respite before returning home.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

The staff at Whitstable House have been fully trained in all areas of infection control and care delivery, to ensure that residents are kept safe.

The staff have full training in moving & handling, fire and basic life support, along with, but not exclusively, training in dementia and oral care

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Independent Assessments We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
