Rachel French is Manager at York Manor.
Rachel started her career in 2009 as a care assistant before taking up the post of senior carer for a small, family-run business consisting of three homes. She progressed from a level 3 to a level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care during her seven years working for that company.
She discovered that her passion was complex dementia care. In 2017, she became a registered manager and , in 2018, took on different challenges, managing two more care homes that needed support. Rachel loved creating working relationships with key stakeholders and improving the reputation of each service.
Rachel always prioritises residents’ best interests in her decision-making. She is passionate and dedicated, and it brings her great satisfaction to know that her residents live in a happy home and that her team works in a happy workplace.
